I’m prompted to try and move things on following the email from Steph, Alex and Alice and realising that the summer has gone by since our trip to Falmouth. Although I have been doing a lot of thinking, there hasn’t been an awful lot of action! So without trying to be too pushy and not trying to force a beginning I’m wondering if one way to start will be to pick up on something I asked you about back in June when you demonstrated the loom. I don’t know if you remember. I asked if it would be possible to weave from a digital image of a ceramic surface and you said yes! Wow! What opportunities! I am really interested in taking that one step further by offering up some of my colour tests as a ‘what if’. Would it be possible to try weaving any of these? I am curious to know what further questioning this might prompt as, in my experience, making is never a straightforward activity (and if weaving is then I’m converting straight away!!) and there are always any number of alternative ways of doing something. Any thoughts? Sx
